I look around, leaves are brown now, and the sky is a hazy shade of winter.

This is it, the end of Season One. The Deceneus Review has gone on for 29 episodes and 1 introduction, a total of 262 hours. This means that if you enjoy our conversation, our discussions, our ideas, you can start listening right now and if you listen straight through it will take you about 10 days to listen to the whole thing.

I started this podcast on January 13th of this year. I’ve wanted to fill a lack in my own life, an emptiness of conversation and discussion that is hard to find now that I am older and busier with family and work, and 30 episodes, 262 hours, over 40k unique downloads, 16 guests later, I look back and can say without a doubt that I succeeded beyond all my expectations.

I want to thank all of the interesting people that decided to take time out of their lives and sit down with me for a few hours.

, , and may others that have come on or supported from behind the scenes with feedback, encouragement, and through sharing each and every episode. Thank you, and I hope to have all of all and many more back in Season 2. Most of all thank you to all the listeners, the cool guys, the elite of the podcast audience, even the haters, thanks for all the hate you filthy cretins.

Most of all, stay tuned, because after a short break through November we are scheduled to come back for Season 2, and I have plans, ideas, guests lined up, new equipment to test out, and a whole slew of esoteric marginalia to talk about.

Until then, enjoy today’s episode.

and I talk about The Dawn of a New Civilization, a fantastic piece by . We chat about Elon Musk, Spengler, the election results, Twin Peaks, Lynch, Battlestar Galactica, Serenity, Mars, and many other random tangents like always. I also assign and all of you some reading homework for Season 2, I want you all to read The Sword of Welleran by Lord Dunsaney.
