The idea that Kurt Cobain could change rock history with 3 chords versus the many virtuoso's and who might be literature's versions of Cobain is an intriguing idea. I typically point to Cobain's solo in 'Sappy' as something Van Halen couldn't make if he tried, giving credence to the 'born not made' requirement for an artist. But I've never thought of that in a writing or literature sense. So who might those author's be might be fun for another episode.

I think that there are some people, like Cobain, who at the right time under the right circumstances can tap into some spiritual artistic flow that ends up driving the culture in a certain way.
