1. Microbrew beer is awesome. Could you find an amber ale before the hipsters got involved? Usually not unless it was a German import.
2. I have been trying to get through The Brothers Karamazov but I made a mistake. See I went with the Penguin audiobook. The voice work is excellent but there is one little problem. Fyodor Pavlovich is so perfectly rendered as a loudmouthed drunken buffoon that I groan when he starts talking just like every character in the book does.
3. We really need better sad boy stuff than last time around. Do you remember what sad boy stuff was before the 2010's culture shift? It was boy bands and emos.
I missed the emo thing. My sad friends and I were more the Type O Negative variety. Can't speak for the others though. But at least emo was a "thing", even if I personally wasn't into it. I bet if I was born like, 5 years later, I would have been.
Does it have the unlimited hours and high quality recording? Zoom works real well because all guests for the most part have it and it seems to allow for the best integration with editing software. Also, it's not that expensive, only 100 bucks a year. My biggest expense besides time is Internet service. It sucks out here in SC.
What I've heard other podcasters do is to call over discord, record audio separately, then email it over to the editor to have it put together and edited. You're right $100 a year isn't bad at all. Just thought I'd throw this idea out to see what you think.
I thought about that method but two problems. Discord is extra shitlib, and having people email me the files will make the editing process longer, not to mention I would have to trust the other persons recording skills.
Right now I have a bunch of editing macros and if my download/upload speed holds up, even for the shitty internet I have here, I can do a turnaround within two hours. The majority of time is processing and leveling raw audio. The main limitation is my mediocre mic set up and the shit bandwidth. I plan on upgrading both soon.
“Not a shallow thinker”..nice current Substack reference
Fabulous start to the new season!
Lisa is force of nature.

Haven't seen Nice Guys but I've been meaning to!
Hmm. Where to stick the Santa hat? I suppose I could shove one over the polyhedron.
Alright, fine. I'll get out of bed and do that, I guess...
Dog are you really spending money on Zoom?
It's a little more complicated but I know of a set up that's free. You won't have to get the premium version of anything.

Oh yeah. And if someone loses a file it's not a good time.
